WORST SHAMPOO I HAVE EVER USED!

Used this shampoo and the companion conditioner to combat dry hair, it caused my hair to become dry as straw, brittle and breaking off and caused significant hair loss and bald patches. This stuff should be illegal and the price of it! Is it even tested?? Horrendous smell too

DREADFUL REPLACEMENT FOR BAIN MAGISTRAL

Bring back Bain Magistral this was the best shampoo Kerastase had ever made for bleached blonde dry hair. It left my hair feeling smooth and extremely hydrated and was silicone free leaving my long blonde bleached hair hydrated and nourished. The "replacement" Bain Satin Riche is dreadful, it leaves my hair dry, crunchy, and every time I put my brush through it my hair snaps off, this is due to the excessive amount of silicone in it. Bain Magistral was silicone free and left my hair feeling amazing and was worth every penny, this is not even worth a penny. You couldn't even pay me to use this shampoo again. I have noticed that the vast majority of Kerastase shampoos now contain silicone which is extremely damaging to the hair, if I wanted a shampoo full of silicones I would purchase a cheap one from the drug store. AVOID IT ALL COSTS. PLEASE PLEASE BRING BACK BAIN MAGISTRAL (silicone free)

Gives me hair like I used to have !

Have horrible hair due to menopause and autoimmune diseases. My hair went from looking like hagrid after washing to smooth silky soft hair again. You literally can’t put a price on that. Amazing stuff. Can’t use anything else now !

I miss magistral

Kérastase is my go to brand, no other delivers so consistently with their shampoos masques and styling, however when I purchased this I expected it to perform in the same way as my beloved magistral shampoo but it’s no where near as moisturising. With the old shampoo I hardly needed to follow with conditioner, with the new version my hair feels thirsty, it’s not as stripped as some people have experienced but it needs a deep condition - also it strips the colour from my hair which I guess is the SLS - I’m going to try the new premiere shampoo when this is done ,, fingers crossed

Love Kerastase but this product isn't it

Unfortunately new formula is extremely drying and it left my hair in worse condition. My hair was in perfect condition before. My hair started tangling and it got very dry and brittle.

Doesn’t seem to be a good fit for my hair

Been using this shampoo and conditioner since December and don’t feel like it does my hair any good. The conditioner doesn’t leave my hair feeling soft, my hair still feels quite dry. Dissapointed

Poor

I have used Bain Magistral for many years and several times my hairdresser has commented on the fact my hair was in good condition. I am 65 years old now and am extremely disappointed. My hair is dry and staring and developing a straw like quality and given the price of this shampoo I feel I should be refunded. A very poor quality product the standard of a supermarket one

Disappointing Formula Change

I recently tried the new formula of this shampoo, and I have to say it's a major disappointment. The change in formula has made it horrible. It used to be my favorite, but now it leaves my hair feeling greasy, and it doesn't clean effectively. I used to recommend this shampoo, but I can't do so anymore. I hope they reconsider their decision and bring back the old formula that worked so well. I wish I could get my money back.

Perfect for dry medium hair.

I have medium-thickness hair strands that are increasingly dry as I age (I am in my late twenties). This is the only shampoo I have found to adequately clean and moisturise my hair. When I use this in conjunction with the Lait Vital conditioner, I don't need to use leave-in products or hair oils afterwards to keep my hair moisturised. I use this in the winter and Bain Satin in the summer.

Not heavy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've tried many different hydrating shampoo in the past, but all of them makes my hair feeling greasy and heavy, this one isn't, don't feel like I have to rinse it for an hour to get rid of the foam, not stripping my scalp or my hair, and feels lighter and more nourished after using this shampoo for a while, I know the bottle looks tiny compare to other brands but don't let it bother you because this one goes a long way, and works so much better, I pour it in my hand and massage it into my roots, and rinse it off after, works great with my thick dry hair. Absolute love.

Not worth it

I was really excited to try this with all the reviews however what a disappointment. It has not improved my hair one bit - no moisture, no shine, nothing … and that’s with using the conditioner too. I asked for support on the online chat and all said was use it for 4-6 weeks … I did and nothing. Waste of ALOT of money

Stronger fuller hair

The shampoo suited for my long and colored hair

Hair stayed fresh longer (I used to wash it 1 time per 2 days, with the Kerastase it became 1 time per 3 days) 2. since the texture of the shampoo is quite thick and given the length of my hair, 250 ml of product was enough for me for more than two months, which is cool 3. The smell, it sound like something from the medical line, but i like it.

Amazing results!

This range of products really helped me to control the split ends and my hair feels hydrated and smooth. My new everyday shampoo

I was travelling and had taken it with me as the bottle was quite small and good to carry. I had my hair up with lots of hairspray etc and I was worried about how hard it would be to brush out etc. When I washed my hair it made it so soft and just so easy to brush. I have been using this shampoo ever since and have purchased another one. This lasts longer than other shampoos as you don’t need a lot (I shampoo my hair twice when washing) a bottle of shampoo probably lasts me 2 months. I am so happy to have received this sample

I can feel the difference

Good but not for curly hair

Another downside is this product doesn't lather up like you expect from a high-end shampoo. Even with adding more water and really working it in, it was tough to lather and I found myself using a lot of product (I do have very thick long hair though) Will still be sticking to my Olpaplex shampoo.

Great nourishing shampoo

I have tried many others even ones that were far more expensive than this from Frederic Fekai to Bumble and Bumble. And with my straight, long hair-it can easily go frizzy. This shampoo somehow locks in moisture without weighing it down. I can tell the difference between a so so shampoo and this one when I need to run my brush through while blow drying.. this shampoo allows me to do so without tangling. I swear by this shampoo and the Kerastase conditioner. I have even tried the Kerastase for color treated but I liked this one better.

Smells amazing!

My hair is naturally curly and needs moisture and it actually left my hair soft after. I used it alongside the mask. I enjoyed massaging it into my scalp, it feels so rich and luxurious and it smells amazing!

Shiny, soft, like new!
